Esoteric Lovers Chapter 11: Forgive and Forget
I woke up the next morning with puffy eyes, and hundreds of missed texts and calls on my phone. I had cried myself to sleep, knowing that I had lost Louis for good. He had called me all night, but I had to ignore him. Facing the problem was more than I could handle.
The boys had an interview today, and I was just going to try and avoid Louis as much as I could. Seeing him was going to kill me inside, because I wanted to be with him so much, but with the way things were, there was no chance that could ever happen.
I quickly got dressed, and headed out to a taxi. I made sure to get up late, and get out of the hotel late, so everyone would already be gone by the time I was ready.
I arrived at the place where the boys were having their interview, and walked in cautiously. There was a pit in my stomach, and I was panicking slightly.
I walked to the boys dressing room, and Lou was already there picking out their clothes.
“Hey.” I said softly.
“I’m the only one in here; all the boys are with Paul outside meeting fans.” Lou said with a soft smile.
I nodded, and felt my eyes sting with tears.
“What’s wrong love?” She asked.
“Louis and I had to break up. I mean Paul heard us having sex and said things needed to end, and I need this job, so I didn’t argue with it. I’m sure Louis hates me, and I have screwed everything up.” I said fighting away tears.
“Louis doesn’t hate you, I talked to him today, and he’s just really upset at the outcome, but you haven’t lost him. He loves you very much.” Lou said.
I shrugged, and Lou rubbed my back comfortingly.
“It’ll be fine.” She said.
I nodded, and set up my make-up station. Lou and I talked a bit longer, and then we heard the boys coming down the hall.
All my nerves returned, and I busied myself cleaning make up brushes.
The boys came running in, and they were all talking and laughing. Louis wasn’t though. I could tell he was trying to have fun with his friends, but his mind was somewhere else. I felt terrible knowing that I had done all this to him.
“Alright boys, settle down, and get ready for the interview.” Paul said with a smile.
The boys all calmed down after a bit, and I began doing their make-up. I went through them all quickly, and then it came to be Louis’ turn, but he never showed up. He got dressed, and left the room.
“Don’t worry about him, he’s not mad at you. He thinks that you don’t want to be near him.” Harry said.
“I don’t know what I’ve done.” I said.
“Louis’ going to fix everything. He always does.” Harry smiled.
“He doesn’t hate me now right?” I asked.
“No, never. He’s totally in love with you.” Harry said.
“I love him too.” I said.
“Do you want me to tell him that?” Harry asked.
I thought for a bit, and then nodded. I really needed Louis to know that even if we couldn’t be together now, that I would wait as long as I had to, to be with him.
Harry pranced off with the rest of the boys and Paul. My phone buzzed shortly after.
“Hello?” I said into the phone.
“Hey baby.” Louis whispered.
I took in a deep breath and smiled.
“Harry passed on your message.” Louis said.
“I don’t want to be away from you, but I can’t risk losing this job.” I said.
“I know, and I’m going to make everything okay.” Louis said.
“Don’t do anything to get yourself in trouble.” I said.
“I would never do that.” Louis laughed.
“Okay, well go do your interview.” I smiled.
“Come watch, it’s just down the hall, you can wait backstage.” Louis said.
“Alright.” I agreed.
“I love you.” He said.
“I love you too.” I replied.
We both hung up, and I walked down the hall to go watch the interview.
When I got there, the boys were already up on the stage. Louis was smiling now.
The interview was asking them questions about the tour, and some random other stuff, and the interview was coming to a close.
“So I have to ask, which of you boys are still available, and which of you have a special lady?” The interviewer said.
“Well, I’ve got a girlfriend.” Liam said.
“Me too.” Zayn added.
“As do I.” Louis stated with a grin.
“Louis, that’s new, you have a girl?” The interviewer cooed.
“Yes I do, management doesn’t want me to though. They hate my happiness. Anyway though, her name is Macintosh, and she’s a beauty. I love her a lot. We get along so well, and we have loads in common. She’s the reason I have a smile on my face. I beg you not to send her hate, because if she gets hurt, it’ll only hurt me. She’s not really one to care what people say about her though. I love that. She is her, and if people don’t like it, it never seems to faze her.” Louis said proudly.
I had a huge grin on my face, but Paul looked like he was about to erupt.
“Where did you meet her?” The interviewer asked.
“Well, she was hired as out make-up artist, and that was why we couldn’t be together, because she was like a co-worker or whatever. We’ve been dating for quite a bit though. Couldn’t stay away from each other.” Louis stated.
The interviewer smiled, and then moved on with the questions. A few minutes later, the interview ended, and the boys jumped up off stage. They ran backstage, and Louis came straight for me.
He lifted me up into his arms, and placed a big kiss on my lips.
“I told you I would handle it.” He whispered.
“I love you so much.” I said.
“I’m never going to let you go. No matter what. If you start getting hate just tell me, and I’ll handle it. I’m not going to let anyone treat you badly.” Louis said.
“As long as I’m with you, nothing anyone says will ever hurt me. I only need you Louis.” I said.
“You are the most amazing girl in the entire world.” Louis stated.
“It’s kind of my thing.” I replied with a smile.
“Well keep it that way.” Louis said.
Louis kissed me again, and spun me around.
“I love you baby.” He said.
“I love you.” I replied.
Louis was going in to kiss me again, when Paul walked over.
“What was that?” He asked.
“What was what?” Louis replied.
“’They hate my happiness.’ Do you know what that sounds like?” Paul said angrily.
“It’s true. You weren’t going to let me be with the girl I love.” Louis said.
Paul didn’t know what to say.
“You won then.” Paul stated.
“I always do.” Louis replied with a smile.
I stifled a laugh, and Louis took my hand in his. We walked out of the building, and out to where all the fans were. We were holding hands in public, like a normal couple. We weren’t hiding anything. We were openly in love now.
All the fans screamed when they saw us, and Louis smiled.
“I think they like you.” Louis laughed.
“Nope, you’re just super cute.” I giggled.
Louis laughed harder, and led me away from the fans. We walked down the street and went shopping for a little while.
It was weird being so open about being together. We had to hide ourselves just yesterday, but now the whole world knew we were together, and it felt amazing.
I was in love with Louis Tomlinson, and he loved me back. I would never lose him, because he would never let me go. We knew what our love meant, and we were the only people who would ever understand it.
Like Louis had said on the day he asked me out, we were Esoteric Lovers.
